The horse and the donkey were heading into town together. The happy horse of life, slack with a load of only four arrobas, and the – poor man! - moaning under the weight of eight. At some point. the donkey stopped and said:
- I can not anymore! This load exceeds my strength and the remedy is that we share the weight together, six arrobas each.
The horse bucked and whinnied with laughter.
– Naive! So you want me to bear six arrobas when I can easily continue with four? Do I look like a fool?
The donkey moaned:
– Selfish! Remember that if I die you will have to carry the load of four arrobas plus mine.
The horse joked and that was it. Just ahead, however, the donkey tropics, comes to the ground and bursts.
The drovers arrived, cursing the luck and without delay he arranges the eight arrobas of the donkey over the four of the selfish horse. And as the horse refuses, they give him a whip on top, without pity or pity.
- Well done! - Exclaimed the parrot.
Who ordered him to be dumber than the poor man and not understand that the real selfishness was to relieve him of the excess load? Take?
