From the same botanical family as daisies and sunflower, arnica is a shrub with aromatic leaves, popularly used as a medicinal plant. Its leaves are used as an anti-inflammatory, in the treatment of bruises, bruises, muscle pain and varicose veins. Today, laboratory research is confirming the anti-inflammatory action of this species. As a result of the intense exploitation of its leaves, the species ended up on the list of endangered plants.
The name “arnica” is also used for several other species of the Asteraceae family, which can be a little confusing. Therefore, it is important to know the scientific name of each species: it is unique!
