Collared falcon birds landed in front of the equipment of the concessionaire that manages Rodovia Anhanguera (SP-330).
A surveillance camera from the CCR AutoBan concessionaire, which manages Rodovia Anhanguera (SP-330), recorded the moment when two collared hawks landed in front of the equipment during the afternoon of this Friday (4). The act took place at km 97 of the highway, in Campinas (SP).
In the image, you can see the couple standing side by side on a metal structure. According to a specialist heard by Terra da Gente, the female is on the left and is larger than the male, on the right of the video.
The birds of this species can reach up to 36 centimeters and are adapted to urban life.
Collared hawks are commonly found at high points such as trees, poles and towers. The surveillance camera is an example of this preference.
According to the book “Aves do Sudeste do Brasil: Guia de Integração”, this position makes it easier for the animal to see prey close to the ground.
In a note, the concessionaire informed that the camera of the place has also recorded toucans and hawks.
