Bird of prey hunts at night and protects its territory during the day.
You know the cauré (falco rufigularis)? This little hawk is the size of a ruler – it measures about 30 centimeters, it hunts at night and, during the day, it protects its territory.
The species occurs in areas of semi-open forests, clearings and riverbanks. It is present throughout the country and can also be seen from Mexico to Bolivia and northern Argentina.
With black plumage, white striped chest and belly, the cauré has rusty yellow or white sides of the neck.
