O homo erectus, which appeared on Earth 1.5 million years ago, created the first knife-like sharp object made of stone and used for hunting and defense.
Around 3000 BC C., in the Bronze Age, the utensil started to be produced from this metal and served both to kill and to peel fruit.
According to reports, the fork appeared in the 11th century when a member of the court of Venice (Italy) married a princess from Byzantium (Ancient Greece).
In the trousseau, she brought a sharp object with two teeth, which she used to skewer food.
Gradually, members of the nobility and clergy began to adopt the silverware, but it was not until the 19th century that the fork became popular. The history of the spoon, on the other hand, shows archaeological records of similar artifacts dating back more than 20,000 years, made of wood, stone and ivory. In the beginning, it was similar to a shell and for collective use.
