But to explain what the paradidatic book is about, let's first look at its predecessor. The textbook has the function of guiding the reader about something, so it teaches step by step some activity, content or action to be followed. As its name implies, it is instructive.
On the other hand, paradidactic books have a slightly deeper function. Therefore, they are the ones who propose deepening in specific subjects, raise questions and concepts that the didactic ones cannot, due to their less in-depth character.
This does not mean that one is better than the other, just that both have different goals in the formation of a student. Furthermore, although the name is different, many of the paradidactic books are well known in our society. So, check out some paradidactic book titles below.
