Find out who can benefit from the “Auxílio Gasoline” benefit

The Senate recently approved the Gasoline Allowance, which would provide financial assistance of up to R$ 300 per month. The purpose of the measure is to help taxi drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers and application drivers to learn the value of gasoline, since they were and still are directly affected by the increase in fuel prices.

If approved and enacted into law, this assistance to Brazilian workers will be available from October 2022. Assistance in the purchase of gasoline will allow beneficiaries to reduce fuel costs, allowing them to use this “voucher” to refuel the vehicle, saving money for other expenses personal.

Who will be entitled to the benefit?

Bill 1472/21 is, in fact, an emergency assistance program aimed at reducing the impact of the gas price increase on consumers. With a budget of R$ 3 billion, the priority is to help people who have already benefited from the program Brazil Aid.

To be entitled to the aid, the worker must also have a per capita income of at least two minimum wages, or R$2,424. According to the document, applicators, taxis, school vans, truck drivers and registered families in Auxílio Brasil are entitled to receive a minimum of R$ 250 per month to help with the purchase of Gasoline.

However, the value is not immutable. Every new semester, the amount must be updated based on the average fuel price over the period of analysis. For now, the project is still under analysis in the Chamber of Deputies, but, if approved, it will be a benefit meaningful for everyone who needs it.
