After being orphaned, Mary Lennox moves to England with her widowed uncle. The mansion has nearly a hundred rooms and her uncle is kept locked up there. The gardens surrounding the large estate arouse Mary's curiosity. Upon deciding to explore them, the orphan discovers a secret garden, surrounded by walls and locked with a lost key. With the help of two companions, Mary finds out how to bring the garden back to life.
