The number of participants with the maximum score in the composition of the National High School Examination (Enem) increased for the first time since 2011. In 2018, a total of 55 students obtained a thousand marks. At the other end, the number of newsrooms rated zero fell to less than half of 2017.
In 2011, of the approximately 4 million Enem participants, 3.7 thousand achieved the maximum grade. Since then, despite the increase in the number of candidates, the number of essays with a thousand notes has only dropped. In 2017, only 53 of the more than 4.7 million participants achieved the maximum score.
