In addition, it must prepare graphics for title slides, among other functions.

Basically, it's a combination of technical and creative tasks to assemble a video. In addition to video editing, your production duties cover all other areas of video creation:

  • Project management;
  • Talent organization;
  • Essay;
  • Video output and recording;
  • Media library organization.

Not all video editors do all these things. In larger markets and companies, you will find people dedicated to doing a specific task.

Most film/video editors are hired as freelancer, working on short-term contracts for post-production studios, television companies and corporate employers.

Employers will be interested in your technical skills, previous experience, and personal qualities such as enthusiasm and initiative.

According to the site LoveMondays, a video editor usually earns, on average, BRL 2,500 monthly. The amount varies according to the region and the size of the company. At Globo, the amount paid reaches BRL 5,054, apart from benefits such as health insurance and meal vouchers.
