Applications open for Shell's internship program

A Shell, one of the main oil companies in the world, is accepting applications for the internship program from the multinational. Vacancies are aimed at young people between 20 and 34 years old who have completed high school and who live in Rio de Janeiro.

The company's main activities are oil refining and natural gas extraction. It is one of the four largest in the world in the oil sector, alongside ExxonMobil, BP and Chevron, and the largest in terms of revenue. Shell operates in more than 70 countries in exploration and production, gas and energy, petrochemicals, renewable energy and trade and distribution.

Shell Iniciativa Jovem began in 2001, in Rio de Janeiro, offering an acceleration program for young people who want to start or boost their own business. The project has a team of partners, mentors and volunteers and uses modern tools to help these entrepreneurs. The objective is to transform these projects into ethical, economically viable and sustainable organizations, to generate impact and promote changes in society.

Applications are open until the 28th of February. The requirements for those who intend to apply for the vacancies are:

• Age between 20 and 34 years;
• Complete high school;
• Fixed address in Rio de Janeiro;
• Willingness to have your own business;
• Availability to dedicate yourself to the Program;
• Registration on the Shell Iniciativa Jovem website;
• In the case of a company, interested parties must register individually.

The call will be held in March. The individual interviews take place between March and April. Also in April, the Shell LiveWIRE Weekend meetings take place.
