Endemic to Brazil, the leaf frog takes its name from its coloration, as it lives on the forest floor and has the ability to camouflage itself perfectly against its natural predators.

It is popularly known also as bull frog. And the reason concerns another physical feature that is peculiar to him: the shape of his eyebrows, similar to horns.

Today, deforestation and the degradation of the environments where it lives and breeds have been the main cause of its disappearance. There are regions where the leaf toad is no longer found.
