Appreciation: Government of Paraná will reward teachers by R$3,000 for good performance

In Paraná, a new educational initiative is taking shape and has a high chance of succeeding. How about earning R$3,000 more per performance?

You professionals that are part of the schools in the state network and that achieve strong results in the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb) will be awarded a BRL 3 thousand financial bonus each.

The announcement of this program was made last Tuesday, the 8th, in a joint event led by the state secretary of education, Roni Miranda, and by the governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior.

The inspiration for this measure is twofold: encouraging teachers, recognizing their achievements, and simultaneously keeping Paraná at the forefront of the Brazilian educational scenario.

Teachers earning more in Paraná

Only professionals from educational institutions who reach or exceed the established target for IDEB, determined by the State Department of Education (Seed), will benefit from this initiative.

This covers a wide range of professionals, from teachers to directors, pedagogues, cooks and administrative staff.

Implementation of the program is scheduled to begin next year, coinciding with the release of the evaluation results. latest from the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC).

In the previous evaluation cycle, Paraná was consecrated as leader in the ranking of states with the best educational performances.

In addition to granting bonuses to professionals in the Paraná school network, the State Government is in the process of launching a new program, entitled “Escola Solar”.

This initiative is aimed at allocating a significant amount of BRL 6 million for the purpose of implementing photovoltaic plants in state schools. The first phase foresees the installation in 20 schools.

With the implementation of these solar panels on the roofs, the locations will be able to supply part or all of their internal energy demand.
