His action made headlines after acquiring a sprawling plot of more than 20 acres in the prestigious seaside city and demolishing existing homes on the property.
Now, he intends to invest an estimated amount between US$150 million (approximately R$755 million) and US$400 million (approximately R$2 billion) in the construction of a megamansion.
Located just 400 meters from former US President Donald Trump's residence, Griffin's property is positioned on a stretch of South Ocean Boulevard, known as “Billionaires’ Row” (or “Rua dos Billionários”, in translation free).
This part of the coast is notorious for being home to some of the most expensive properties and luxurious ones in the world.
Upon completion of the work, the construction is expected to reach the astonishing value of US$1 billion (equivalent to R$5 billion).
Ken Griffin shared some details of his ambitious project for the waterfront mansion. The property will have a total area of 4,645 square meters, including the service basement, and will adopt a contemporary style.

Such windows will provide spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, making the experience of living in this property unique and stunning.
The large swimming pool will extend from the residence onto a vast lawn, adding a dimension of splendor to the project.
Additionally, the property will be complemented by several meticulously planned gardens and a guest house to accommodate high-end visitors.
There are also plans underway to create other structures that will further enrich this spectacular residence, justifying the title of the most expensive house ever built.
