Didactic sequence about folklore is an interesting model to take children learning about the topic that will be approached, always in a dynamic way.
Exploration of different school environments, such as: classroom, physical education room, computer lab, reading room, court.
It aims to:
Advance knowledge of written language and the alphabetic system;
Know the main folkloric manifestations of our country;
Organize an exhibition with the theme: “I am part of Brazilian Folklore”.
Rescue the cultural values of our students' parents, grandparents.
Know about the legends of Brazilian Folklore;
Identify cities and other states in the country;
Develop creativity;
Work on reading and interpreting text;
Understand the importance of folklore for the country's popular culture.
Working the textual poetry genre;
Work the rhymes;
Study the characters of Brazilian folklore and get to know the legend of Saci;
Encourage reading.
The teacher chooses a very exciting way to tell students about the Origin of Brazilian Folklore, the from this, it makes a reading wheel of several legends, in order to identify the students' knowledge about the theme.
Set up a circle with the students and explain what folklore is, introducing some characters such as the headless mule, the werewolf, the iara, Saci Perere, etc.
Encourage students to share what they know about these legends and guide them through this conversation;
Afterwards, tell the legend of Saci using some didactic resource (data show, puppet, flannelgraph, figures etc.);
Perform activities with them.
In a round of conversation, ask students to tell the legend their parents told them.
Presentation of a poster with the legend “O Curupira”, read slowly pointing word for word, calling class attention to: title, writing direction, word spacing, punctuation, margin and paragraph.
Propose that they write in their own way the legend heard at home, illustrating it as they wish.
Display the texts on the activities clothesline so that everyone can enjoy them.
As a fun activity, word search and crossword about the legend under study.
Ask students to bring bean and corn seeds to class the next day.
