Bruxism has been highlighted in recent times due to the stress and rush of everyday life. Pain and ringing in the ear, wear and tear of teeth, headache, neck pain, in jaw and facial muscles, cracks when opening and closing the mouth, among others, are symptoms of bruxism.
There are several treatments indicated for bruxism. The most used therapy currently for the relief of bruxism is the use of plates. Made by the dentist and fitted to the teeth, the plate fits over the upper teeth and protects them from grinding with the lower teeth. While plaque is a good way to deal with bruxism, it is not a cure.
