O commensalism it is an interspecific ecological relationship that takes place between different species, without harm to neither of the two, that is, one is benefited and the other does not suffer any change or damage that may harm her.
Let's know a little about this process?
We know that in Brazil there are several different species, each with its own characteristics and even exotic, they all need a relationship with other species or even with species of the same class to survive in this immense ecosystem, establishing relationships that can be beneficial or not.
There are two types of relationships: The Intraspecific that occurs in different species and the interspecific, with the same species.
Commensalism usually happens between different species, called interspecific, this relationship happens in a harmonic and positive way, for example:
LIONS AND HYENA: The lion in its natural habitat captures its haste in order to survive through the food it provides for its food chain, for example the zebra, the lion captures the zebra to feed, with the same satisfaction, he leaves carcasses along the way, that is, food remains, then the Hyena, who is not silly, see the opportunity to feed on these remains, yes, it's not at all nice to imagine this scene, but come on, Hyena benefits from this process, that is, the so-called commensalism happens, where the Hyena benefits from the relationship and the lion does not suffer any damage, or even does not even know about the hyena existence
Shark and Remora: Sharks are animals that cause fear and panic in many people and this is no different at the bottom of the sea, but who would have guessed that there is a relationship between him and the remoras? Yes, the remoras are small fish that accompany the shark, when it feeds on other aquatic animals, the remains of food is left, with this the remoras see the opportunity to feed on these remains, so we can conclude that there was no damage to the shark, and the remora was fully benefited, because like the Hyena, it didn't have to make an effort to look for its own food
Look at this image that represents this relationship:
Alligator and Vulture: Pretty strange relationship isn't it? But it happens, the alligator feeds and also leaves food scraps along the way, the vulture then sees the opportunity and feeds on these leftovers. And the most impactful relationship, without a doubt, is the relationship between the vulture and us human beings, yes, the vulture feeds on dead animals that most of the time are left without any conscience on land by us, meat leftovers left in the garbage, the vulture just does not eat human flesh, as they are usually not exposed in land and woods, but are buried or cremated.
