Far beyond football, the ball can provide several playful moments with children. So let's take advantage of the World Cup theme and work on these games, check it out:

Alphabet Volleyball

• First, a theme must be chosen, such as fruits. Then the children form a circle and play volleyball, but at each move, they must speak a letter in alphabetical order.
• Whoever drops the ball must say a fruit that starts with the letter of the time, for example, if the ball fell when saying the letter “m”, whoever dropped it can say papaya, apple or watermelon, for example. Then return to the game with the next letter.

Cabriola, where's the ball?

• The children must choose another child to be the Cabriola, then the Cabriola must stand in front, facing away from the group and with a ball in his hand.
• To start the game, Cabriola needs to throw the ball up and back, and another child in the group hides it. Afterwards, the group asks “Cabriola, where's the ball?”, and the Cabriola has to guess who she is with.
• If he can guess, the kid who hid the ball becomes the new Cabriola.

• In this game only two people play at a time. The objective is to score the opponent's goal. She can only shoot from midfield at most. The field must be divided in half and each player gets a goal.
• The rules are simple: if the ball hits the crossbar or crossbar, the opponent takes a penalty; if it passes the midfield to kick, the opponent also hits a penalty and, if the ball goes out the side, it is a set-piece kick from where the ball left. There are two halves of 25 moves each.

Crosswords

• Three or more children make a wheel and choose a letter from the alphabet. Afterwards, they need to throw the ball to each other, saying words with the chosen letter. The child who makes mistakes leaves the wheel. Whoever comes last wins

• First the children gather in a group and face a child who is holding a ball. She chooses a theme, for example “colors”, and the other children have to say words within that theme.
• Afterwards, the child who has the ball speaks one of the words that someone has already said (for example: yellow), throws the ball up and runs away. The other participants also run.
• But the child who said “yellow” first must quickly pick up the ball and say “Paribola”.
• When she says that, all the kids have to stay where they are. After that, the child with the ball has to take three steps to try to burn someone.
• If she succeeds, the game starts again with the other person in place. If she doesn't succeed, she returns to the game.team amoeba
• Divided into two teams, the game works like a traditional dodgeball, in which the player with the ball has to try to hit the player of the opposing team.
• Thus, whoever is burned sits down and, without leaving the place, tries to burn a child from the other team. The team that burns the entire opposing team first wins.

• To start the game it is necessary to form two groups and each one has to knock down 10 bottles of the opponent's field.
• Bottles must be dropped with a ball; inside the bottles are questions for the participants. When dropping the bottles, participants need to answer the dropped bottle questions. The team that gets the most answers right wins the game.

blind football

• To play, you need two pairs. One child's right leg is tied to the other's left leg, and one child will be blindfolded. Whoever has their eyes open has to give directions to lead the blindfolded child to the ball. The pair that can hit the ball in the goal wins.

Gulu

• Participants are passing a ball to each other with their feet or hands, the choice is up to the group. While a child is like “gulu” or “crazy”, trying to catch the ball. When the child manages to catch the ball, he is no longer the “gulu” and changes places with the last participant who touched the ball.

Crosswords

• Three children or more make a wheel and choose a letter from the alphabet. After choosing, they have to throw the ball to each other, saying words with the chosen letter. Whoever makes mistakes leaves the wheel. Whoever comes last wins.

burn heart

• To play, you have to separate your friends into two teams, who will participate in a dodgeball game. Before the game starts, each team needs to decide, in secret, who will be the “heart” of the group. The “heart” is one that cannot be burned and has to be secretly protected by the group. The team that burns the “heart” of the opposing group first wins.

Curiosities

• The first soccer ball that rolled on Brazilian fields was brought in 1884, by Charles Miller and was made of capoton, that is, of tanned leather and the air chamber was an ox bladder. These balls have the inconvenience of weighing more on rainy days because the leather gets soaked.
• It was only in 1994 that this problem was solved because the balls began to become lighter and unable to soak, thanks to the use of synthetic material, such as polymers.
