turtles down there
After six years, millions of books sold, two blockbusters and a legion of passionate fans around the world, John Green, the author of the unforgettable Blame it on the stars, releases the most personal of all his books: turtles down there.
The story follows the journey of Aza Holmes, a 16-year-old girl who sets out in search of a mysteriously missing billionaire – whoever finds him will receive a hefty cash reward – as he tries to deal with his obsessive-compulsive disorder (TOC).
Full of references from the author's life – among them, the so marked passion for pop culture and OCD, a mental disorder that has affected him since childhood –, turtles down there has everything that made John Green one of the most beloved contemporary authors. An incredible book, full of underlined phrases, that talks about lasting friendships and unexpected reunions, fan-fics from Star Wars and why not? – peculiar New Zealand reptiles.
