A flock of birds walked back and forth, not knowing what to do. Until a little sparrow proposed that they play hide and seek. The others soon accepted, delighted.
It fell to a canary to close its eyes. As he counted, eyes closed and leaning against a tree, his friends ran for cover. The little sparrow knew a wonderful place, where he was sure no one would find him. That's where he hid. He was so isolated that he couldn't hear the voices of his companions. They were calling because a dangerous storm was approaching.
When the little sparrow, amazed at the delay of his friends, decided to come out of hiding, he saw that a furious gale had started. The rain was heavy and there was no way out. Scared and hungry, the sparrow had to spend the night in its favorite hiding place.
— I must not be afraid of Nature! - He said to himself, trying to convince himself. — The rain also has the right to fall. And a sunny day is as good as a rainy one. I need to be strong and know how to wait here alone for as long as it takes. Even if I feel hungry, I have to hang on and resist like a brave man.
At dawn, the rain stopped falling. Soon the sun rose over the horizon and country life came out of its lethargy. The little sparrow had become strong and self-assured, thanks to the ordeal he had gone through the night before.
