A curiosity of the tico-tico, which has already been noticed by researchers, is that the song of the species can vary according to the region in which it is found.
And despite having a "known" vocalization, the bird still has a mysterious song that is known as the night song, or dawn.
The names do justice mainly to the period in which the bird vocalizes: in the late afternoon to early evening. This song is completely different from the “traditional” song, as it presents a prolongation and accentuation of the notes and is much stronger.
