Cradle of the best water in Brazil, according to an assessment made by specialists, Cambuquira is part of the Water Circuit of Minas Gerais.
Located at an altitude of 950 meters, the city is a refuge in the midst of the mountains in the south of the state. The municipality concentrates seven water sources, six of them located in the Parque das Águas complex, the main tourist attraction of the city.
The therapeutic qualities of the waters, associated with the region's pleasant climate, make Cambuquira one of the most important hydromineral resorts in Brazil.
A difference is relevant: despite being special, Cambuquira still remains peaceful and picturesque. In the tree-lined streets of the city, it is possible to find acacias, lent trees, ipês, almond trees, flamboyants and other species.
The municipality still holds more surprises. Serra do Piripau is one of the best spots to practice hang gliding. Several championships, including the Brazilian Paraglider Championship, are held there.
